OUR PURPOSE

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the University of North Florida Inter-Fraternity Council website. The UNF IFC Council is comprised of nine member organizations that promote professional and personal development, academic excellence, community engagement, and the opportunity to be a part of a nationwide, life-long brotherhood. We pride ourselves on our philanthropic efforts, involvement on campus and in the Jacksonville community, and support in encouraging one-another to develop into the best individuals we can be. Our goal as an Interfraternity Council is to provide our member chapters the resources and support necessary to provide the best chapter experience to all of individuals. It is our mission to ensure that every IFC man has a life-changing fraternity experience, and that the values of his organization continue to shape each and every member long beyond his college years.

Our IFC community has nine organizations, each founded with a different value and purpose, and if you are considering membership I hope that you find the organization that is right for you. RECRUITMENT

PROCESS OVERVIEW

Here at the University of North Florida, our IFC chapters have a semi-structured rush process in both the Fall and Spring semesters. We do not have a formal recruitment for fraternities, but instead host a Rush Week at the beginning of each semester, where each IFC organization will host their own recruitment events throughout the course of the week and extend invitations to membership at their own discretion.

The Interfraternity Council hosts Ballroom Recruitment at the beginning of our formal Rush Week to give men the opportunity to meet all of our fraternities and learn about their recruitment process. Each fraternity will host their own recruitment events during Rush Week. Men are encouraged to attend events for as many chapters as they would like to find the fit that is best for them.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

In order to join an IFC fraternity at UNF you must meet the following requirements:

All men joining an IFC fraternity must be enrolled full time at the University of North Florida
The minimum established college GPA to participate in recruitment is a 2.5.
The minimum High School GPA to participate in Fraternity Recruitment is a 2.7 (on a 4.0 unweighted scale, per University of North Florida's determination).

Please note that individual chapters might have higher GPA requirements or additional membership standards. We encourage all potential members to ask each chapter what their membership requirements are during the recruitment process.
